Designed specifically for the IEEE 802.3u 10/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX standards, the MC111CS media converter is designed for use with single-mode fiber optic cable connected via an SC connector. The MC111CS is a long-wavelength (LX) laser-based device for maximum data transfer rates. When transmitting and receiving data, the converter operates at wavelengths of 1550 nm for transmission and 1310 nm for reception. Therefore, to communicate with the MC111CS, devices on the other end of the cable must operate at 13
